Padstow Kids Learning Academy (PKLA) is a family-owned and operated long day care centre, providing high-quality early childhood education and care for children from 6 weeks to 6 years of age. With an approved capacity for up to 53 children, our learning environment is designed to inspire curiosity, creativity, confidence, and a lifelong love of learning through engaging play-based experiences.
Our passionate and qualified educators deliver meaningful programs aligned with the Early Years Learning Framework, ensuring every child’s individual needs are supported with warmth, care, and intention.

Our Centre Philosophy
At Padstow Kids Learning Academy, we believe that the earliest years of a child's life are the most powerful and we take that responsibility seriously. Our philosophy is rooted in the understanding that children are capable, curious learners from birth, and that every experience, interaction, and moment of play is an opportunity for meaningful growth.
We are guided by the Early Years Learning Framework and the principles of the National Quality Framework, ensuring our programs are intentional, evidence-based, and responsive to the unique developmental needs of each child in our care. Learning at PKLA happens through rich, play-based experiences that nurture physical, cognitive, social, and emotional development in equal measure because we know that a confident, well-rounded child is built from all four.

Our warm, purposefully designed environment at 108 Alma Road is a place where children feel safe to take risks, ask questions, and explore the world around them—building the wonder, resilience, and love of learning that will carry them confidently into school and beyond.

At Padstow Kids Learning Academy, our team is the heartbeat of everything we do. Led by founder and approved provider Krishna Bhavani Annamalai, who has dedicated over 18 years to early childhood education in the Padstow community, our centre was built on a clear and unwavering vision to create a place where every child is known, valued, and given the very best start in life. Since opening in 2007, Krishna's hands-on leadership, integrity, and genuine love for children have shaped the culture, programs, and community relationships that make PKLA the trusted centre it is today.
Our close-knit team of qualified educators doesn't just work with children—they raise their own. Many of our educators are parents themselves, and that lived experience matters deeply to us. They understand firsthand the trust it takes to hand your child to someone else's care each morning, the worry that can linger through the day, and the relief of being truly kept in the loop. That understanding shapes everything—from the way we greet your child at the door to the way we communicate with you at pick-up. Care at PKLA is never one-size-fits-all.
We take the time to learn each child's rhythms, preferences, and personality, tailoring our approach so every child feels at home, not just enrolled.
